The race is not always to the swift but to those who keep on running. Though I may not be the first at the finishing line, I think it is the journey of getting there that matters more. Life is almost always an arduous journey, but for what does not break me, it will only make me stronger.

15 Jul 10 - My white steed has finally retired and up comes my black stallion. As the setting sun brings about the end of a day, it also signifies a new beginning and the rise of the MACHINE!

2 Jul 10 - In stark contrast to the usual sight of our army guys marching in green, these ladies are proving the point that blue can look just as cool when synchronized! Darn! Talking about fashion .... get these ladies some blue suede shoes!

29 Jun 10 - Was just talking about the Carpenters and their classic hits the other day and they gave rise to the inspiration for the above image. Brings back vivid memory of a TV commercial in the 80s where the mother elephant walks its young baby across a desert and gave him a hand by pushing him up a sand dune. Rings a bell?

We've only just begun
Beginning the day with the rising sun
Walking together day to day
Sharing a path common to the two of us
And yes, we have just begun.

14 Jun 10 - Welcome to Singapore where the three towers of Marina Bay Sands looms over the city skyline, with its "eye" sets out to lure all gamblers alike towards the black gates of Mordor. However, that one ring won't gain you entry into Mount Doom this time but a hundred bucks does. Better luck next time Frodo!

9 Jun 10 - Stop and stare, I start to wonder why I'm here and not there. And every glance is killing me, time to make one last appeal for the view we shared.

21 May 10 - A dancer gets ready to take flight, with some help from behind. Now, who needs wind beneath your wings to fly higher than an eagle ..... when all you have to do is to get the right man behind?

7 Apr 10 - Though you offered me little protection against the blazing sun and the falling rain, you have definitely let in some long overdued rays of hope and a pretty view of what's in bloom ahead ........ right from beneath.

30 Mar 10 - Why would a Jedi still wants a light-saber and live a life of solitude when she can have the latest mobile device that connects her with the rest of the world? Beats me!

2 Mar 10 - Seeing eye to eye is definitely the first step towards a blissful marriage. Sergio and Ritzy understands this pretty well and wasted no time by putting it into practice right away. Hey, one shot looking into the camera please!

23 Feb 10 - Every company has its silver nine-lings and this is no exception. It was a long and tough day at the corporate photoshoot but we want the result to be nothing less than a perfect ten!

4 Feb 10 - Chance upon this scene on this evening at Tuas. As the rays of the setting sun slices through the dark rain clouds and spills over the wilderness, it seems to have brought time to a complete halt across this piece of no man's land.

10 Jan 10 - The day of "0" and "1" is the day that binds their lifes, destiny and their shadows together as Yichuan and Veni starts the next chapter of their lifes as husband and wife together. It was a memorable day for me too to capture these moments for them on this very special day.

8 Jan 10 - It is a busy start to the new year 2010 and a major industrial photoshoot brought me to various construction sites all over the island throughout the entire week. At one of the blast site, a foreman watches in anticipation at the final stages of preparation work done to set off the explosives. Time to get dirty! Honey, let's get down to business and start some serious blow jobs!

6 Dec 09 - A quiet moment makes a candid moment as Yonghui and Qiulian takes a breather (of fresh air perhaps?) away from the hassel and toll on their wedding day.

20 Nov 09 - 红红的烛火在案头　你的心也照得发烫　掩不住嘴角的轻笑　全都是期待和幻想。What's running through your mind at this moment, Iris?
I am just waiting for this moment of yours to press the shutter.

14 Nov 09 - This is the season to be jolly, heedless of the rain and weather, fa la la la la, la la la la! The passing shower did not dampen our spirit during our christmas shoot for VivoCity. Instead, it adds another whole new dimension to the festive spirit and another perspective of what's beneath a christmas tree. Sing we joyous, all together, fa la la la la, la la la la!

13 Nov 09 - An editorial lifestyle photoshoot for one of my client, a Dutch Banker, ends the day for me. The setting was originally intended to be the CBD skyline as a background but due to bad weather, we headed for Raffles Hotel instead. At least we still have the city skyline on the front page, not too bad afterall. Well, so much for rebuilding the global economy! I played my part, now it's yours!

9 Nov 09 - A bored guy on a plane with nothing to do but having fun with his magazine and the window light instead. Hope you interpreted the images the way i have intended them to be....ha!

23 Oct 09 - The hectic wedding schedule on her wedding day seems to have taken a toll on Séverine. As she wearily waits and looks upon her husband to finish a phone call during the afternoon break, the waiting bride caught my eyes and brought back to mind these few beautiful verses of a song by 优客李林 many years back:

你说等待是一生中最初的苍老，
在每个想念的分秒，
留住你淡淡的眼角，
刻画你轻轻的眉梢。。。

8 Oct 09 - After our green screen filming, we let no effort go to waste! Everyone gets a chance to pose for a few shots before we paint the studio back to its original white again. No need to be green with envy because next lies the tedious task of digital etching and editing...sob!

18 Sep 09 - If one thinks traffic in China is bad, think twice. I was literally swamped by motorbikes from left, right, front, back, on both the road and the pavement. Phew! Somebody once told me if one keeps moving, the bikes will naturally find a way around you. So much for Brownian motion in action! Well, i guess chaos is probably what gives Ho Chi Minh its charm.

22 Aug 09 - The escalating and ridiculous housing prices really made me wonder when i could afford my very own roof. Even my neighbour's birdie can't help but mocks:

3 Aug 09 - Has the economic downturn affected us or has the price of our flags gone up? I do indeed see fewer flags and less extravagant decorations being put up as national day approaches this year. At least we do still have a household celebrating ..... of 44 years of one party rule!

4 Jul 09 - Bonnet bonnet on the wall, who's the toughest of them all? The casts of the short film - STEADFAST by FPS productions all geared up for the action gun fight scene on location. Was at the filming ground to join in the action. While the "agents" and "terrorists" exchanged fires, i couldn't take sides but instead took on the sniper role with my DSLR to freeze the action.

29 Jun 09 - I am no Michael Jackson's fan but he could definitely be identified as an icon of my generation. Today's sunset seems especially gloomy and with MJ's departure on the evening news, inspired this shot right out of my window. Another day, another star, gone too soon ....... and coincidentally , the last 2 verses of the song says:

20 Jun 09 - The smile of this cute little boy caught my attention during a children dance performance I am covering @ the Keiko Dancing Mates event at the Japanese Association. Tired but with joy, he took a break right in the middle of his dance cheoreography. It has been sometime
since i have last seen a smile true from the heart. I thank him for it.

14 May ~ 3 Jun 09 - While packing the gears for my reservist training, the rays of the setting sun through the windows casted a familiar glow onto my uniform, as if to remind me that it is the time of the year to don green, meet old friends and to sweat it out together once again.

01 May 09 - My Labour Day evening was spent on duty at the outdoor sky park at Vivo city where the Sidewalk Astronomy Carnival was held.
While both of us are looking through our own respective viewfinder, I am dead sure that he is getting a more astro-orgasmic view than I am.
Hey that's enough, save some for me ..... my turn now .... you can have my camera!

05 Apr 09 - Immersed in the cold dusk in preparation to shoot the grand musical fountain at the Mardan Palace Hotel in Antalya, Turkey.
The darkening sky provides an excellent backdrop against the Mediterranean sea. Stay tuned for the fountain pics (still editing).

04 Apr 09 - Something inspired me to create this "back to the basic" wedding montage video, comprising of only photos blended in transition for Andrew and Kelly. Instead of combining numerous video clips with fanciful special effects , I took the simplistic approach to work with still photos only. Sometimes, a simple photograph can speak volume if captured at the right moment.
